For example, lets say you decide to have a rum and coke. A can of coke has 140 calories, and 39 grams of carbs. A shot of Captain has 75 calories, no carbs. So if you only use 1 shot of rum (most people use more than that), you’re looking at a drink with 215 calories and 39 carbs. Your average light beer, Bud Light, has 110 calories and 6.6 carbs. Let’s say you decide to stay away from soda, and go for a screw driver. Vodka has 64 calories and no carbs. Orange juice has 122 calories and 30.3 grams of carbs. Once again, assuming you only use 1 shot of vodka, this drink will have 186 calories and 30.3 carbs.

I’ve noticed a couple people have metioned diet soda. What these people don’t understand is that aspartame, the sweetening agent in diet sodas, is so hard to digest they still cause weight gain just as rapidly as their sugary counterparts when consumed in large amounts (such as multiple drinks, in order to get drunk). This solution will only work if you do straight shots, and chase with a small amount of diet soda.

In conclusion, straight alcohol and light beer are your best options.
