Rosacea is not caused by alcohol. There is no consensus on what causes it. Alcohol can exacerbate it, as can anything that causes the skin to “flush” or redden, including spicy food, exercise, and hot weather. The fact that the population at large thinks that Rosacea sufferers are alcoholics makes it even harder for them to deal with an already embarrassing and often painful conditions.
